Under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Capital Investment of Serbia-Montenegro, the European Union Road Federation (ERF) and the Chamber of Commerce Belgium-Luxembourg South-Eastern Europe (CCBLSEE) jointly organised a one-day workshop devoted to safe road design and management on 10 June 2005.

Over 90 representatives from the Serbian Ministry of Capital Investment and the Directorate-Generale for Roads including H.E Velimi Ilic, Minister of Capital Investment, and Dr Branimir Ujdur, Deputy Minister for Roads and Road Safety, attended this landmark conference which saw ERF experts present successful road engineering practices in such key areas as preventive hazard identification, safe road design and road maintenance
